Sille is an Attorney-at-Law and the Head of Data Protection practice at NJORD Estonia, which holds the prestigious CIPP/E certificate from IAPP – the most recognized information privacy organization globally, demonstrating comprehensive GDPR knowledge to ensure compliance and data protection in the European region.

She specializes in the field of Data Protection and IT law. Since the significant change that GDPR brought about in the field of personal data protection in Europe, her team regularly advises clients on all aspects of data protection and implementation of GDPR, provides data protection officer (DPO) services or assists internal DPOs, advises on data breach response strategies, conducts GDPR training and represents clients in data litigation. Sille previously served as a data protection lecturer at Tallinn University.

Sille`s academic background greatly supports her expertise. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tartu in 2016 with an MA in IT Law, following an MA in Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tartu in 2012. Passionate about (fin)tech, data-heavy startups and technologies, she enjoys working creatively finding progressive solutions beneficial to clients and their customers.

In addition to her focus on Data Protection and IT law, Sille has significant experience in advising clients in corporate law, M&A, banking and finance, fintech, employment law and contract law.

Her business-minded approach, much appreciated by clients, is enhanced by her earlier graduation from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tartu in 2011 with a BA in Economics. Before joining NJORD, Sille gained extensive work experience at the international law firm Magnusson.
